Hello World module reference
The Hello World module (cloudgrange-module-example) is the reference implementation of the CloudGrange module contract. It is a harmless echo/system-information module that proves the full module lifecycle and exercises every integration surface — install, enable, health, background jobs, and portal navigation.
CloudGrange is in active development and is not GA. This module is a template for development, not a shipped feature. Signing is planned but not yet implemented. See current product and release status.
What it demonstrates
| Surface | What Hello World shows |
|---|---|
| Manifest | Stable ID/version, SDK compatibility range, publisher/provenance |
| Health | Named health checks with tags (e.g. informational) |
| Background jobs | A periodic job (e.g. a heartbeat on an interval) |
| Portal UI | A navigation-slot contribution with icon, route, and ordering |
| API | A module API base path the portal proxies to |
| Permissions | Declared required permissions (empty for the reference) |
Use it as the starting point for a new module: copy it, rename the stable ID, and replace the echo logic with your own. See Develop a CloudGrange module for the contract details.
